Windows/Doorways

To make a window/doorway hole in the wall: 

a) Place the window/door, psp format image, on a new layer above the wall layer.
b) Use your magic wand to click on the area outside of the window/door.
    (You should now have marching ants around the window/door and around the
    edge of your main image.) 
c) Using your mouse, click on Selections, then choose Invert on the drop down menu.
    (Ants now around window/door only.) 
d) Selections, choose Modify on the drop down menu,  choose Contract, 2, OK.
    Selections, Select None. 
e) Use mover tool to highlight the wall by clicking on the wall outside the window/door. 
f) Press the delete key on your keyboard.   You have just made a hole in the wall.

To cover a window/door hole in the wall: 

a) Using mover tool click on the wall outside the hole. 
b) Using selection tool or lasso, drag a rectangle around the area to be covered. 
c) Use eye dropper tool to select the color of the wall, flood fill (paint can). 
    Selections, Select None. 
d) Zoom to 3:1 to make sure you filled the hole.
